For the last two days, representatives from Dhulikhel Hospital and Kathmandu University, accompanied by representatives of Celeritas Foundation have been in the field, this time to the hard hit area of Sindhulpalchowk where we provided 50 toilets to villagers who by and large lost everything to the recent earthquake. Getting to the village was a bit of an ordeal as, like many villages affected, the largely unimproved roads are subject to flooding and landslides. However, the trucks rolled into Sindhulpalchowk on Thursday afternoon and volunteers from all 3 agencies distributed the components necessary for villagers to construct permanent pit toilets!
